In Search of St. Nicholas
The Vivaldi Chamber Choir's 2011 Christmas presentation "In Search of St. Nicholas" went down in front of two SRO audiences on Mayne Island (Sunday December 4th ) and in Kits in Vancouver (Friday December 9th.) The choir enjoyed the visit to Mayne immensely as an energetic band of islanders readied St. Mary Magdalene Church for the show and filled the time between concert's end and the ferry home with a welcome potluck supper. Elisabeth Jahren subbed as accompanist since Barry was unable to make the trip, while choir members filled the solo shoes of Treble, Matthew Leighton who was otherwise engaaged with the Bach Choir's Christmas Concert in Vancouver's Orpheum. Our presentation was well received and differed only in detail from the programme that unfolded on the following Friday.
