Cara Guri

Cara Guri is a classically trained soprano, visual artist, dancer and interdisciplinary performer from White Rock BC. She was recently seen as a vocalist as Pamina in The Magic Flute: Reimagined, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. Growing up, Cara trained in classical ballet and continues to be active as a dancer in the local lindy hop scene. As a dancer she has performed professionally at local events, including the Crazy8s film gala. She divides her time between the arts and works professionally as a soloist and visual artist with an active national and international exhibition schedule. She completed a BFA in painting from Emily Carr University, an academic residency in painting at Columbia University, and is a recent alumni of the VSO School of Music Performance Prep Scholarship Program in classical voice and opera. She is thrilled to be dancing as part of this performance.


Sorya Sean Serei

Sorya Sean Serei is a Crowd Technical Animator/Artist working in the visual effects industry, currently based in Vancouver. Originally from Long Branch, New Jersey, he relocated to Vancouver in 2015 to pursue a career in film. He brings a strong balance of technical skill and artistic sensibility to his work, contributing to the creation of dynamic and visually compelling scenes.

Outside of visual effects, Sorya is a passionate dancer with over ten years of experience in both tap dancing and Lindy Hop. His connection to rhythm, movement, and musicality informs his creative perspective and influences his approach to animation and storytelling.

Driven by a love of motion, collaboration, and expressive performance, Sorya continues to explore the interplay between technology and the human experience—both on screen and on the dance floor.

Jay Schreiber

Jay Schreiber is a drummer, composer, and sound designer whose work fuses jazz, funk, and R&B with a strong improvisational sensibility.

A recipient of the Ian McDougall Jazz Scholarship and an honours graduate of the University of Victoria, Jay has built a versatile career as a session musician and collaborator. Often found in jazz clubs, rock venues, or orchestral percussion sections, his musical adaptability and ensemble focus make him a sought-after contributor across genres.

Jay’s influences include icons like Tony Williams and Max Roach, and his style resonates most in chamber groups, jazz combos, and large ensemble settings. He has performed on both intimate and international stages, including the 2010 Olympic Closing Ceremonies.

When not behind the kit or in the studio, Jay enjoys building and repairing musical instruments and serves as the Director of Operations at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music.
