Vivaldi Chamber Choir wants to welcome you to Christmas Around the World!
We live in a global community, interconnected with many different cultures, languages and traditions, and music is the common element between every single one of us. This concert is designed like a “chef’s tasting menu,” with a little taste of many different voices from around the globe.
Like any great tasting menu, there are fresh treatments of familiar items, along side some things that you have may have never experienced before.
Featuring the works of John Rutter, Andrejs Jansons, Michael Praetorius and Sir David Willcocks, the programme has been described as “seasonal yet not cliché” with many unexpected, beautiful arrangements of familiar seasonal songs. There are also fascinating historical carols and new compositions, including works from New Zealand and the Americas. Unexpected gems will be found in the fresh settings of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” by Darmon Meader, and “There is No Rose of Such Virtue” by Robert H. Young. With settings of “Silver Bells” and “Jingle Bells” that are absolutely magical and unexpected!
Join Vivaldi Chamber Choir on our “tour around the world” from Appalachia to the United Kingdom, Spain to Latvia, New Zealand to Europe, France to Puerto Rico to North America; no passports needed!

Vivaldi Chamber Choir believes in the power of music to affect positive change in our world. We recognize that we rehearse, perform and record on the traditional, ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleiwatuth people. We acknowledge that the land’s historical relationships with these peoples has existed since time immemorial. We express our gratitude to these peoples and value the opportunity to create music on this land.
